Aughinish Alumina (AAL) continually looks for new and improved ways of doing business. As part of this continuous improvement approach AAL is progressing with the digitisation steps of the Cogniplant project. The additional digitisation combined with the tools developed during the project will allow AAL to improve energy efficiency on the plant. The tools will combine data mining, digital twins and machine learning techniques advancing the capabilities of the refinery and delivering a more efficient process.
